Over the summer, the Superloop team held a series of informal pop-ups at Melbourn Community Hub, giving residents the opportunity to drop in, meet members of the team and find out more about the proposals.
These face-to-face conversations are an important part of developing the Superloop. They help us understand what matters most to local households – from potential costs and savings to how the technology works and what installing a new heating system could mean for individual homes.
They also give us the chance to explain the thinking behind the project: creating a shared heat network that could help existing homes across Melbourn move away from fossil fueled heating and hot water.
